Kia Syros 2026 New high tec features family SUV comes with affordable price in segment

By

Kia Syros 2026 : The updated 2026 Kia Syros has arrived in India with a clear mission: bring premium tech, strong safety, and family-friendly comfort to the sub-4-metre SUV segment at a price that feels more accessible than before.

Kia India now sells the Syros MY26 from ₹8.39 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of the more affordable options to offer features like a massive panoramic display and Level 2 ADAS in this price band.

Affordable Entry Price With Wider Feature Spread

Kia’s latest move is to make higher-end features available across more trims, not just the top variants. The new lineup introduces four fresh variants—HTE, HTE(O), HTK+(O) and HTX(O)—while removing some older trims.

This change has lowered the entry price by around ₹27,000 compared to the previous version, pushing the starting price down to ₹8.40 lakh (ex-showroom) and capping the range near ₹15.80 lakh.

By spreading features like the panoramic display, ventilated seats, and automatic transmissions across a wider price window, the Syros now appeals strongly to budget-conscious families who still want a tech-rich experience.

Big Tech Inside: 30-Inch Panoramic Display And Connected Features

The standout tech feature in the Syros is its 76.2 cm (30-inch) Trinity Panoramic Display, which dominates the dashboard and combines instrument cluster and infotainment in one wide panel.

This gives the cabin a modern, high-tech feel that is usually seen in cars priced much higher.

The SUV also comes with Kia’s Connected Car Navigation Cockpit, over 80 connected-car features, OTA updates, and Kia Connect Diagnostics.

In practical terms, owners can access remote functions, real-time traffic, vehicle health checks, and more through the connected ecosystem, which is a big plus for daily family use.

Family Comfort: Sunroof, Ventilated Seats, And Rear Seat Flexibility

For family trips, the Syros focuses on comfort and convenience. It offers a dual-pane panoramic sunroof that brightens the cabin without letting in too much heat, along with ventilated front and rear seats for cooler comfort in Indian summers.

The second-row seats now include slide and recline functions, with a 60:40 split for flexible loading. This means passengers can adjust their seating position for better comfort, while families can still carry groceries or luggage when needed.

With a generous 465-litre boot space and 190 mm ground clearance, the Syros balances city practicality with the ability to handle rougher roads confidently.

Strong Safety With Level 2 ADAS And 5-Star Bharat NCAP Rating

Safety is a major reason the Syros stands out as a family SUV. It has a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating and comes with six airbags, advanced braking systems, and a sophisticated dashcam with dual cameras.

The bigger highlight is its Level 2 ADAS suite, which includes more than 16 autonomous features such as forward collision warning and avoidance, lane-keeping assistance, smart cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and parking collision prevention.

This kind of tech-rich safety package is rare in the sub-4-metre segment and makes the Syros feel like a step ahead for protective family driving.

Kia Syros 2026 Powertrain Options: Turbo-Petrol And Diesel With Multiple Transmissions

The 2026 Syros continues with two main engines: a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol producing around 118 bhp and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel with roughly 114 bhp.

Buyers can choose from a six-speed manual, a seven-speed DCT on the petrol, and a six-speed torque-converter automatic on the diesel.

Kia has also added a diesel automatic option starting from ₹12.73 lakh, making automatic transmission more accessible for diesel buyers who want relaxed city and highway driving.

With fresh styling tweaks, new variant options, and a lower entry price, the 2026 Kia Syros is positioning itself as a high-tech, safety-first family SUV that doesn’t demand a luxury budget.

For families wanting modern tech, strong safety, and daily comfort without overspending, the Syros now stands as one of the most compelling choices in the compact SUV segment.
